Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner based on the registered will executed by one Selvaraj and Kannikai Mary registered as document number 1 and 2 of 2020 on the files of the Sub-Registrar Office, Kudavasal by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 25.01.2021 within a time frame fixed by this Court. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner based on the registered will executed by one Selvaraj and Kannikai Mary registered as document number 1 and 2 of 2020 on the files of the Sub-Registrar Office, Kudavasal by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 25.01.2021.

2. Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. He brought to the notice of this Court that the representation of the petitioner is a very recent one and the Tahsildar is now involved in a responsibility associated with the conduct of the General Elections 2021 for the Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly.

3. This Court now directs the respondent to fix a date some time during the third or fourth week of June, 2021 and hold an enquiry after issuing notice to all the parties who are likely to be affected by his action and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of the enquiry to be fixed by him as indicated above.

4.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
