Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st to 4th respondents to permit the petitioner and his agnates to perform the temple festival for "Arulmigu Sri Angalamman Thiru Kovil" situated in T.S.No.128, Ward J, Block-9, East Street-3, Johnson Nagar, Hasthampatti, Salem - 7 on 12.03.2021 with adequate police protection based on the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2021.

ORDER
The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission to perform the temple festival of "Arulmigu Sri Angalamman Thiru Kovil" situated in T.S.No.128, Ward J, Block-9, East Street-3, Johnson Nagar, Hasthampatti, Salem - 7 on 12.03.2021 with police protection, by considering his representation dated 15.02.2021. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
In the previous hearing on 12.03.2021, there was no representation on the side of the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the Official respondents has placed an order dated 10.03.2021 passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer Salem/first respondent herein, rejecting the petitioner's application seeking permission to perform the temple festival.
As already the representation of the petitioner has been considered and rejected by the first respondent, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the same, if he so desires. 5.
In view of the above, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
