O R D E R

The limited prayer sought for in the present Criminal Original Petition is to expedite the trial in C.C. No. 30 of 2010 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No. II, Vellore.

2. It is seen that the proceedings has been pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Vellore, for the past seven years without any adjudication. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor has filed the counter stating that due to the various obstructions made by the accused, the trial could not be commenced till date. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner herein, the Special Officer has retired and is yet to receive the benefits in view of the pendency of the present proceedings in C.C.No. 30 of 2010. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No. II, Vellore, to expedite the trial in C.C.No. 30 of 2010 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Vellore, and complete the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
