O R D E R

Seeking a direction to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.3932 of 2011 on the file of the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is seen that the petitioner got married to the respondent on 25.06.1994 and their matrimonial life ran into rough weather and they got estranged. It appears that the respondent has initiated proceedings in C.C.No.3932 of 2011 under the Domestic Violence Act against the petitioner before the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.

4. It is seen that both the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement by virtue of which, they have filed a memorandum of compromise before this Court, wherein, in paragraph no.h, it is stated as follows :

"[h] Therefore the Respondent without admitting to the allegations mentioned in the quash petitions agrees that :

Crl.OP.No.14635 of 2015 filed to quash the Crime No.3932/2011 on the D.V. Act pending on the file of the X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, may be quashed." The parties are present before this Court. They are identified by their respective counsels.

5. In view of the above, proceedings in C.C.No.3932 of 2011 pending on the file of the X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai is hereby quashed. Accordingly, this petition is disposed of. gya -s/d- Assistant Registrar(CS-IV) True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar To The X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai 8.
