Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to regularize the petitioner Post as Assistant Lecturer (Unani) from November 2012, based upon his representation dated 14.01.2015 within the stipulated time frame or alternatively permit him to do MD (Unani) Post Graduation Course with full pay as per G.O.Ms. No.218, dated 30.09.2013.

The petitioner claims that he has been working as Assistant Lecturer (Unani) in Government Medical College at Arumbakkam, Chennai - 600 106. On completion of probation, he has sent a representation to the respondents seeking regularisation of his services, since the Rules says that the probation should be completed within one year or two years or three years as the case may be as per the Rules for regularisation. period and since the said representation has not been considered by the respondents, he came forward to file this writ petition.

2. Heard Mr.S.Haja Mohideen Gisthi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Rajendra Prasad, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents.

3. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the representation dated 14.01.2015 submitted by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
