Heard Mr.C.Veeraraghavan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.Vijayakumar, learned counsel for first respondent and Mr.P.Nagaraja, learned counsel for second respondent.
2. The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to issue hall ticket for the ensuing II Semester for B.E. First Year (Civil) including permission to write the arrear papers to be conducted by the first respondent and to allow the petitioner's son to continue his studies.
3. The petitioner's son is a student of the second respondent institution having joined in the engineering course for the academic year 2013-2014. In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition certain submissions and allegations have been made against the faculty of the second respondent institution stating that they https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
compelled him to seek for transfer. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of this writ petition.
4. As on date, the prayer sought for in this writ petition does not exist any more, as the exams for the academic year had already been over. Therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition.
5. However, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the notice that has been sent by the College to the petitioner certain allegations have been made against the petitioner's son and also his conduct and character. However, this court is not inclined to go into these aspects since the relief sought for had become infructuous.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. However, this order will not prevent the petitioner in any way approaching the second respondent college and make a genuine request to consider his son's case and it is also open to the second respondent institution to consider the same, on merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
