O R D E R

The petitioner is a College of Engineering and Technology and seeks a mandamus directing the respondent being the Regional Transport Officer,

Vaniyambadi, Tirupattur District to release buses (vehicle in question) bearing Nos.TN25 AA 4348 and TN23 BX 6687 along with documents, if any relating thereto.

2.Mr.K.V.Sajeev Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent would point out that the impounding of the buses was for the reason that, at the time of inspection it was found that the permit in respect of the vehicle has expired. Furthermore, the impounding is itself of the year 2019, and the petitioner has remained silent till date. 3.A representation has admittedly been made by the petitioner on 02.01.2023 seeking release of the vehicles in question and thus, it would suffice to issue mandamus to the respondent to consider the representation and after hearing the petitioner, dispose the same in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from date of personal hearing. 4.This writ petition is disposed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
