ORDER

A scheme decree had been passed in C.S.No.213 of 1951 on 27.03.1956 relating to election of trustees by the Vellala Community and for audit of the Trust. In the scheme decree, it had been stated that before 15 th February of every year, the Secretary or Treasurer of the charity may apply to this Court for appointment of an auditor and if there is failure to do so, any member of the board of trustees may make such an application.

2.This places an obligation on the Secretary / Treasurer or any other member to apply to the court seeking appointment of the auditor to audit the accounts of the charity. I am informed that similar applications had been filed every year and have been taken into consideration by the Court. 3.The applications have been now filed to appoint an auditor, Mr.V.Karthikeyan having office at No.40/2, Oliver Road, Musiri Subramaniam Salai, Mylapore, Chennai - 600 004 and to direct submission of the Audit Report for the period 01.04.2023 to 31.03.2024 and to appoint a Computer Operator for day to day maintenance of accounts and for Audit Fees. 4.In the affidavit filed in support of these applications, it had been stated that the applications of similar nature had been filed every year for audit of the Trust. Since audit is statutory in nature and is required to be done, all the four applications stand allowed.
