Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to issue a direction to the respondent police to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and to run the business at his shop on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 12.02.2020.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and to run the business at his shop on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 12.02.2020.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the owner of the shop. The second respondent is also claiming the shop and disturbed his peaceful possession and enjoyment of the shop. In this regard, the learned counsel for the petitioner has lodged a complaint on 12.02.2020.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the first respondent has submitted that there is a dispute between the petitioner and the second respondent in respect of the said shop and the complaint was referred before the Tahsildar, Land Grabbing Committee, Puducherry for conducting enquiry. The Tahsildar, Land Grabbing Committee, Puducherry, issued summons to the petitioner and the second respondent for conducting enquiry.

4. Recording the said submission, the petitioner and the second respondent are directed to appear before the Tahsildar, Land Grabbing Committee, Puducherry, for enquiry and the said Tahsildar, Land Grabbing Committee, Puducherry is directed to complete the enquiry and pass orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
