ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and to file final report in Crime No.1970 of 2014, on the file of R-9, Valasarawakkam Police Station, Chennai-600 087, within the period of four weeks.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that as against one Ramesh Kannan, he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.1970 of 2014. Though the said complaint was registered as early as in the year 2014, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.1970 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
