Respondents [Respondents 3 and 4 suo motu impleaded vide dated 14.09.2020] Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records of the second respondent in relation to impugned detention order passed in C3/D.O.No.20/2020 dated 19.02.2020 and set aside the same and consequently, direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's son viz., Maboob Basha S/o.Sithik Basha, aged about 24 years, presently detained at Central Prison, Velloreand set him at liberty. ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] The petitioner is the mother of the detenu viz., Maboob Basha S/o.Sithik Basha, aged about 24 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in C3/D.O.No.20/2020 dated 19.02.2020, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act, 14/1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.
2. It is seen that this Court, by order dated 14.09.2020, has granted the relief prayed for in this petition and has quashed the detention order.
In view of the above, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
