Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to dispose the representation made on 18.01.2024 by the petitioner. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 18.01.2024 seeking employment for the acquisition of the petitioner's land.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner was dwelling in the place situated at 5th Main Road, Type 2, Indira Nagar, Neyveli (TS),Kurunjipadi (TK), Cuddalore - 607 801. While being so, the said land was acquired by the respondents for the purpose of black gold (coal) resources available at the petitioner's property. The total extent of the land was six cents which was 2/4

acquired by the respondents. At the time of acquisition, the respondents assured that any one family member of the petitioner will be given an employment in the NLC. However, so far no employment was provided to any one of the family members of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 18.01.2024.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and if any one of the family member of the petitioner is coming under the zone of consideration they may be provided employment within a period of eights weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 26.02.2024 Interest : Yes/No Index:Yes/No Speaking /Non-speaking order Lpp 3/4
