Respondents/Complainant Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to produce the body of the detenu viz., R.Kumar aged 65 years, husband of Thangamani, who is presently illegally detained by the 2nd respondent the Inspector of Police, D-3, Ice House Police Station, Triplicane, Chennai-600 005 before this Court and set him at liberty.

(Order of this Court was made by M.Sathyanarayanan, J.) In continuation of the earlier order of this Court dated 01.02.2017, this Court passing the following order:

Mr.V.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that with regard to an untoward incident happened on 23.01.2017, a case in Crime No.74 of 2017 was registered and the son of the petitioner, namely Anand was arrayed as one of the accused based on the confession statement given by a co-accused and since he has not been apprehended, the detenu, who is his father, was asked to cooperate with the enquiry and he has not been arrested and he has been let off today at around 12.00 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
