This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.261 of 2024, pending on the file of the first respondent Police.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent Police submitted that the investigation in this case has been completed and the final report has also been filed through e-filing in LTN20230000834C202600008, before the XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, on 15.02.2026.

Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to challenge the final report in accordance with law, if so advised.
