O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider and pass orders on his representation dated 16.01.2019, wherein and whereby, he seeks for grant of patta in respect of the subject matter property situated at Survey No.102/1, Muthampatti Village, Vazhapadi Taluk, Salem District, measuring an extent of 1250 sq.ft.

2. It seems that the 5th respondent is in occupation of the said property. However, the present writ petition is filed seeking for disposal of the petitioner's representation seeking for grant of patta.

3. This Court is of the view that it is for the concerned Revenue official, namely, the 4th respondent to consider and decide and therefore, this Court is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner and the 5th respondent.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks, after hearing the petitioner, the 5th respondent and the other interested parties, if any. No costs.
