Mr. S. Gunasekaran, Government Counsel for R1 and R2 Mr. Chandraprabhu, Goverment Counsel for HR and CE for R3 and R4 Order (Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) Statutory notice was issued to the respondents 1 and 2 and they are present before this Court today. As far as the allegations against the respondents 3 and 4, there is no contempt committed by them and hence the contempt proceedings against them are closed.
2. As far as the respondents 1 and 2 are concerned, pursuant to the institution of Contempt Petition, it is stated that, they surveyed the subject land and sent a report to the Commissioner, Tambaram Municipality. With this, the Contempt Petition may be closed as regards the respondents 1 and 2 as well. Recording the same, this Contempt petition is closed.
3. In the Order dated 16.04.2025 in W.P. No.13342 of 2025, there was a further direction for the Commissioner, Tambaram Municipality, to act on the report of the respondents 1 and 2. Though the Tambaram Municipality has not been arrayed in this Contempt Petition for the reason that the initial direction has not been complied with by the respondents 1 and 2, since the report has now been furnished by them, there is a time bound direction to the Commissioner, Tambaram Municipality (2nd respondent in the Writ Petition), to do the needful within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Let copy of this order be served on the Commissioner, Tambaram Municipality, by the petitioner for their necessary action. (A.S.M.,J.)
