This writ petition came up for hearing on 02.04.2024, 06.06.2024 and 1/4
on 14.06.2024. Today also, there is no representation for the petitioner.
2. Mr.K.Sathishkumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent / TRB would submit that the matter pertains to selection of PG Assistant (Botany). He would further submit that the selection list was released on 29.08.2012 itself. Only thereafter, this writ petition was sought to be filed in the month of October 2012. Therefore, in the given circumstances, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition.
3. it has been averred in the affidavit that the petitioner viz., K.Shanthi Sridhar, who has completed her M.Sc., (Botany) B.Ed ., had enrolled herself in the Employment Office, Shanthome, Chennai in the year 1993 and her Employment Reference No.F00005708. On 29.12.2011, the respondent released the list of candidates on their website on basis of the Direct Recruitment for the post of PG Assistant for the subject of Botany with six vacancies to undergo certificate verification in respect of General Turn priority. The petitioner has further averred in the affidavit that she attended the certificate verification on 09.01.2012 priority covered as given in the call letter. Her husband was an Ex-serviceman which falls in the category-C. But her name has not been included in the selection list, even she is eligible under the priority category.

The petitioner has further averred that the respondent conducted certificate verification on 24.06.2012 and on 01.07.2012 and released revised provisional list in TRB Website on 29.08.2012 and on 04.04.2012 tentative list. In the new list, they had selected two destitute widows and five inter-caste marriage candidates leaving the other priority codes "C, F, H & I'. But the number of vacancies mentioned is only six. Therefore, the selection made is arbitrary. Hence, this writ petition.
5. Recording the aforesaid details, this writ petition stands dismissed as devoid of merits. There is no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
