O R D E R

The civil revision petition is filed to direct the learned Principal Subordinate Judge, Tiruvannamalai, to dispose of OS No.401 of 2020 in a speedy manner, within a time fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the plaintiff and the respondent is the defendant in OS No.401 of 2020 on the file of the learned Principal Subordinate Judge, Tiruvannamalai. The suit was filed for recovery of money based on a pronote dated 12.07.2017 and presently, the case is pending for cross examination of DW1. In such circumstances, the petitioner has filed this present civil revision petition for a direction to the Trial Judge to dispose of the case within a time frame.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after examination of DW1, now the case is pending for cross examination of DW1 and the defendant has not appeared before the Court. Hence, seeking to allowe the Revision.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

5. Further, pursuant to the direction of this Court, the Registry, on verification through e-filing, has reported that the total pendency of the learned Principal Subordinate Judge, Tiruvannamalai, is 1039 cases.

6. Considering the total pendency of the cases and considering the nature of the proceedings and the suit is pending for cross examination of DW1, the learned Principal Subordinate Judge, Tiruvannamalai, is directed to dispose of OS No.401 of 2020, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petition stands allowed. There shall be no order as to costs. 13.03.2024 Index: Yes/No Internet: Yes/No mrn
