PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the 1st respondent police herein to secure the accused persons 2nd to 7th respondents in Crime No.494 of 2019, dated 10.12.2019 pending on the file of the first respondent police.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent police herein to secure the accused persons/2 to 7 respondents in Crime No.494 of 2019, dated 10.12.2019 pending on the file of the first respondent police.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.494 of 2019 under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 342, 506 (ii), 109 of IPC r/w Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. Despite registering the First Information Report, the respondent police did not take further action. Hence, this petition.

3. Having considered the nature of the offence alleged, the first respondent is directed to complete the investigation in criem No.494 of 2019 and file a final report before the concerned Court, within a period of 12 weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
