ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.K.Thanigaivel, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate, appearing for respondents 2 and 3.

2. The petitioner seeks directions to close the TASMAC liquor shop No.7145 and TASMAC Bar situate at Narasingapuram Village, JJ Nagar, Attur Taluk, Salem District.

3. An aggrieved person can approach the authorities under Rule 9 of the Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (in Shops and Bars) Rules, 2003. In case the petitioner approaches the authorities, the authority concerned shall consider the request of the petitioner on its own merits.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP No.5189 of 2024 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.)
