Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the cell phone tower installed near/vicinity of the residential area located in the S.No.134/7 at Vanniyanallur Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpet District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.6.2024. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) There are baseless allegations made in the petition against respondent No.5, who is the Managing Director of Bharathi Airtel Limited.

2. Counsel orally said the Managing Director did it through his agent.

3. This is nothing but abuse of the process of Court by filing public interest litigation against private parties making baseless allegations. Moreover, in the representation, it is alleged that installation of a cellphone tower is a health hazard. How it is a health hazard, there are no averments in the petition.
