ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to register the First Information Report on the basis of the petitioner's initial complaint and subsequent representation dated 02.09.2024 against the accused, namely Kavimala, in compliance with the order dated 29.10.2024 passed in Crl.M.P.No.62818 of 2024 by the Metropolitan Magistrate Court No.XIII, Egmore, Chennai for offences punishable under the relevant provisions of law and to conduct a fair, impartial and time-bound investigation in accordance with law.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the Metropolitan Magistrate Court No.XIII, by order dated 29.10.2024, in Crl.M.P.No.62818 of 2024, had directed the second respondent, to conduct preliminary enquiry and if cognizable offence is made out, directed to register the First Information Report. Based on the directions, the preliminary enquiry was conducted and finding that no cognizable offence was made out, the second respondent closed the enquiry and filed the closure report before the concerned

Magistrate on 28.01.2025. He also submitted that as directed, the respondents had also served a copy of the closure report on the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the closure report in accordance with law, if so advised.
