PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent, the Secretary to Government, School Education Department to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.09.2018 to appoint the Special Officer as under Section 18-A of the Tamil Nadu Recognized Private Schools (Regulation) Act, 1973 and to take over the administration of the School immediately, within a reasonable period.

Requesting for an appointment of Special Officer under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Recognized Private Schools (Regulation) Act, 1973, the petitioner herein had made a representation dated 24.09.2018 to the 1st respondent herein. Since the representation was kept pending without any consideration, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
2. Taking into account of the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition and also the fact that the non-consideration of the representation within a reasonable time will amount to dereliction on the part of the officials of the 1st respondent herein, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
