By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner worked as Live Stock Inspector in the Government Veterinary Department and in the year 2003, he retired on attaining the age of superannuation. The petitioner suffered heart attack on 04.07.2014 and admitted in Christian Medical College Hospital, Vellore and on 05.07.2014, he underwent First Heart surgery namely Recanalization with stenting of the right coronary artery and again on 07.07.2014, he underwent another heart surgery, namely PTCA with stenting to
RI. According to the petitioner, CMC is one of the approved hospital by the second respondent in terms of G.O.Ms.No.171, Finance (Pension) Department dated 26.06.2014. The petitioner incurred medical expenses of Rs.2,36,955/- and he made a request to the first respondent for reimbursement of the same and the first respondent, vide order dated 30.12.2014, has forwarded the proposal to the second respondent and despite receipt and acknowledgment, the second respondent is yet to take any action. The petitioner, in this regard, has also submitted a representation to the second respondent dated 20.02.2015, followed by reminders dated 29.04.2015 and 29.10.2015 and despite receipt and acknowledgment, no orders have been passed and hence, came forward with this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. Though the petitioner prays for larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 20.02.2015, 29.04.2015 and 29.10.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
