The Managing Director of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Limited, Salem has come to this Court challenging the impugned award passed by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Additional District Court, Namakkal in M.C.O.P.No.367 of 2011 dated 25.7.2013 granting a sum of Rs.4,10,500/-, as against the claim of Rs.10,00,000/-, for the multiple injuries suffered by the victim.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

C.M.P.No.13353 of 2016 has been filed to condone the delay of 924 days in re-presenting the C.M.A.No.SR4821 of 2014 and C.M.P.No.13354 of 2016 has been filed to condone the delay of 928 days in paying the deficit Court fee of Rs.1650/- in C.M.A.No.SR4821 of 2014. This apart, there is also a delay of 7 days in filing the appeal. When the award was passed by the Tribunal on 25.7.2013, it appears that for the purpose of dragging on the matter, the petitioner-Transport Corporation has approached this Court with a huge and unexplained delay as aforementioned. Therefore, this Court is not able to find any sufficient cause to condone any of the delays. Accordingly, the civil miscellaneous petitions are dismissed.
