ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to allow petitioners to retire after attaining age of 60 years as per Rule 56(1) of Fundamental Rules of the Government of Tamilnadu.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the Government passed an order raising the age of retirement to 60 years and hence, nothing survives for adjudication.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
