ORDER
(delivered by SATISH K. AGNIHOTRI, J.) Mrs. Deena Iswarya, learned Additional Government Pleader (Puducherry), accepts notice for the respondents. With consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.
By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider his application form dated 07 March 2016 for issuance of fresh Hindu Adi Dravidar (SC) community certificate and consequently, direct the second respondent to issue such certificate to him, without any further delay, based on such certificates issued to him on 03 March 2006, 18 June 2010, 24 February 2011 and 11 February 2016. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents have already taken up the petitioner's application and are in the process of considering the same, as directed by the Supreme Court in Kumari Madhuri Patil and another vs. Additional Commissioner, Tribal Development and Others1 and also this Court, in G. Venkitasamy and V.Balasubramaniam vs.
The Chairman, State Level Scrutiny Committee and Secretary to Government, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Namakkal Kavingar Maaligai, Fort St. George, Chennai - 92 and that they will ensure that appropriate order is passed on the petitioner's application, within the time schedule prescribed in the aforestated judgments.
In view of the aforestated submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, it is ordered accordingly.
The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforestated observation. Costs made easy.
