Prayer: Contempt Petitions filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act to punish the respondents herein for the willful disobedience of the order passed in WMP.No.11218/2016 in WP.No.12820 of 2016 and WMP.No.11220 of 2016 in WP.No.12821 of 2016 respectively dated 05.4.2016. 1/4

O R D E R

This Court, by order dated 5.4.2016, granted an interim order of status quo in W.P.Nos.12819 to 12821 of 2016 and WMP.Nos.11216, 11218 and 11220 of 2016, but as the respondents have not complied with the said order and disobeyed the order of status quo granted by this Court, the petitioner herein have initiated contempt proceedings by way of filing present contempt petitions.

2. Learned counsel for the Contempt Petitioner would submit that now the writ petitions may be taken up for final disposal along with contempt petitions.

3. This Court, by order dated 09.11.2016 has passed the following order in the above contempt petitions;

' 2. This court, differing with the contention, is of the view that the payment of salary to the employees who are working, cannot be 2/4

misconstrued that there is a violation of the status quo order. Hence, in so far as other aspects, status quo order prevails.

3. Post these petitions along with the Writ Petitions before the concerned Court.'

4. Learned counsel for the 3rd respondent would submit that there is no willful disobedience of the order of status quo passed by this Court, hence the contempt petitions may be closed and the writ petitions may be taken up for final disposal.

5. Considering the distance of time and the submission made by the learned counsel for the 3rd respondent as well as the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, these contempt petitions are closed and the Contemners are discharged from the contempt proceedings.
