This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Declaration, declaring the UGC (Institutions Deemed to be Universities) Regulations 2010 dated 21.05.2010 as being unconstitutional and ultra vires the provisions of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 apart from being inapplicable to the petitioner herein.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that since the subsequent Page No.2 of 4

Regulation has come in force, the petition filed in W.P.No.4147 of 2010 in this regard has already been closed. Accordingly, prays for appropriate orders.

3.In view of the above, no further order is required in this petition. This Writ Petition stands closed accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
