O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to permit the petitioner to conduct the Hunger strike on 23.02.2023 or any other date, before the Directorate of School Education at Directorate of Public Instruction Campus, Chennai with adequate Police Protection by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.01.2023 and 09.02.2023.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner worked as a sweeper in various Government schools on daily wage basis. The Government of Tamil Nadu issued G.O.Ms.No.111 dated 09.05.2012, identifying 614 persons for regularizing their service. Petitioner is covered by this G.O. Despite issuance of G.O., petitioner is not regularized. Therefore, he submitted a representation for observing fast in protest against the Government authorities towards them. No permission was granted, resulting in filing of this petition.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that petitioner has sought permission to observe fasting. On 27.02.2023, now we are in the fag-end of February 2023. If the petitioner gives a fresh representation,

giving sufficient time, appropriate orders would passed.

4. Recording these submissions, this Writ petition is dispose of with a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondent police, giving sufficient time for passing orders. On such fresh representation, the respondent police is directed to pass appropriate orders in the manner known to law with in a period of one week from the date of receipt of the fresh representation.
