Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to install CCTV system in all Tasmac Retail shops and bars of the 4th respondent inter connecting it with the concerned Higher Officials by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 23.11.2016 consequently direct the 4th respondent to close down all the illegal bars attached with Tasmac shops forthwith.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The learned counsel for the petitioner states that at present he confines the relief to consideration of his representation dated 23.11.2016 specifically in the context of the orders passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal Nos.12164-12166 of 2016, dated 15.12.2016 (The State of Tamil Nadu v. K.Balu and another).

2. We are of the view that as per the Supreme Court judgment a number of TASMAC shops would be required to be shifted and, thus, the suggestion of the petitioner as made in the petition may be examined keeping in mind that new shops may be required to be created and the representation disposed of within four months from today.
