Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the 3rd respondent in Letter dated 27.02.2019 and quash the same, consequently direct the 1st respondent to accept the order dated03.07.2018 passed by the Chairman, Villupuram District Level Empowered Committee constituted under New Health Insurance Scheme, 2014 and pay the medical reimbursement for an amount of Rs.73,976/- with 9% p.a. Interest incurred by the petitioner and pass any other further order as this Court may deem fit and proper.

By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned letter of the 3rd respondent returning the request made by the petitioner who is seeking for medical reimbursement under the New Health Insurance Scheme, 2014.
3.The case of the petitioner is that he is a retired Agricultural Officer and he is contributing to the New Health Insurance Scheme of the Government and the subscription is also deducted from his pension every month. The further case of the petitioner is that he underwent an operation and he had spent Rs.73,976/- and he submitted all the necessary medical bills in the year 2017 claiming for medical reimbursement. The grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent by his impugned letter dated 27.02.2019 had returned back the claim made by the petitioner. According to the petitioner, after the claim was returned back by the 3rd respondent, the petitioner had submitted all the documents to the 3rd respondent and also made a representation on 09.12.2019. In spite of the same, his claim has not been considered and therefore, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.
4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. 5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to immediately process the claim made by the petitioner along with all the documents that have been submitted by the petitioner and on the petitioner satisfying the claim, the 3rd respondent shall inform the 2nd respondent regarding the same and thereafter the 2nd respondent shall reimburse the medical expenses to the petitioner. This process shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 3rd respondent along with a copy of this order and mark a copy of the same to the 1st and 2nd respondents.
6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No Costs.
