By consent, the writ petition is take up for final disposal.

2. It is stated by the petitioner that he submitted an application dated 04.03.2015 to the second respondent with a prayer to issue licence for putting up a stall for selling meat and allied products. The said application was acknowledged on 04.03.2015 and since he has not been favoured with any response, he has came forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.V.S.Kesavan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

Mr.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the first respondent and Mr.R.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the second respondent.

4. This Court, without going into the merits of the application of the petitioner, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the application of the petitioner dated 04.03.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
