Writ petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioners' application dated 12.05.2014, seeking redetermination of compensation filed under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

2.The petitioners made representations on 12.05.2014 seeking re-determination of the compensation under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, based upon higher amount fixed for similarly fixed persons. As the said representations are pending consideration before the second respondent, the present writ petitions have been filed.

3. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in these writ petitions, without going into the merits of the case, the petitioners are directed to send the copy of the representations dated 12.05.2014 along with this order to the second respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the said representations within a period of eight weeks thereafter. 4.The writ petitions stand disposed of accordingly. No costs.
