PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to direct the II Additional Family Judge, Chennai to speed up the Divorce Petition in H.M.O.P.No.4081 of 2017 and to dispose of the same within a stipulated time.

ORDER
This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose of H.M.O.P.No.4081 of 2017 pending on the file of the II Additional Family Court, Chennai.
2. In view of the order being passed in the revision petition without prejudice to the interest of the respondent in any manner, notice to the respondent is dispensed with.
3. The petitioner is the husband, who has filed a petition in H.M.O.P.No.4081 of 2017 for divorce on the ground of cruelty and desertion. Even though, the said petition was filed in the year 2017, the same was adjourned periodically without any reason so far. The respondent also yet to file her counter. In the above circumstances, the present revision petition has been filed.
4. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the revision petition and without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the II Additional Family Judge, Chennai to dispose of the H.M.O.P.No.4081 of 2017, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this, after affording an opportunity to both the parties on merits and in accordance with law.
5. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
