Respondents This case came up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. The learned counsel for the Appellant Mr..S.S.Santhosa Kumar, Mrs.Ramya V. Rao, learned counsel for respondents 1 to 3 are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Both the parties and their respective counsel are present. 2.This appeal has been filed by Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation Limited, Villupuram Division, Region Office, Cuddalore., as against the award passed by the Tribunal dated 17.10.2023 passed in M.C.O.P.No.273 of 2023.

3.Mrs.Ramya V.Rao, learned counsel had entered appearance in the C.M.P.No.4790 of 2025 in C.M.A.Sr.No.23703 of 2025. This Court has condoned the delay by the consent of the counsel for the respondents / claimants. The parties have now agreed for the full quit for a sum of Rs.33,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty Three Laksh only) for the award amount of Rs.32,52,000/-.

4.It is represented by the State Transport Corporation that it had deposited a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) to the credit of the MCOP.No.273 of 2023. The Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation shall deposit a sum of Rs.33,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty Three only) less the amount that has already been deposited before the Tribunal, if any, within a period of eight (8) weeks from today, failing which the State Transport Company shall pay interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum. The said amount is agreed by the parties muually and they are willing to apportion the total amount as per the apportionment before

the Tribunal. It is represented that the 2nd respondent is a minor and his share shall be deposited in any one of the nationalised bank under a reinvestment scheme.

5. The Tribunal is directed to follow the usual mode of payment on proper identification of the parties concerned in accordance with the terms of the award without insisting on any formal permission petition. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is closed in the above terms.
