The petitioner herein who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent / Police for the offences punishable under Sections 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338/61(2) of BNS, in Crime No.2 of 2026, on the file of the respondent / Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that his Bank Account was used for the transfer of money allegedly received through an online scheme. Consequently, his Bank Account was frozen by order of the first respondent. He was also served with summons under Section 35(3) of the BNS to appear before the first respondent and explain his case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is residing and working at Chennai and was not aware of the alleged offence. His Bank Account has been freezed, and there was no suspicious money transaction. He is ready to cooperate with the investigation. Since the petitioner has to approach the competent Court for availing bail, he is required to interim protection till the transit period, and therefore, he may be granted inter-state anticipatory bail. He further submitted that if such bail is granted, the petitioner will approach before the concerned jurisdictional Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/6

4. I have also gone through the copy of the First Information Report in F.I.R.No.2 of 2026 registered by the Cyber Crime Police Station, Murshidabad, West Bengal. It is alleged that an unknown person collected a sum of Rs.8,78,19,941/- through 55 different Bank Accounts. The petitioner contends that although his Bank Account has been frozen, no money was transacted through it, and his Bank Statement has also been produced before this Court.

5. However, considering the limited prayer in this case, namely that the petitioner has to approach the concerned jurisdictional Court seeking appropriate relief of anticipatory bail, this Court is inclined to grant interim interstate anticipatory bail to the petitioner for a period of four weeks.

Accordingly, interim interstate anticipatory bail is granted and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance, within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, before the learned 2nd Judicial Magistrate Court, Tambaram, Chennai on condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of 3/6

Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate. Further, within two weeks from the date of execution of bail bond, the petitioner may approach the competent Court and seek appropriate relief.

The order granted by this Court shall remain in force for a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order or until such time regular orders are passed by the appropriate Court, whichever is earlier. Failure on the part of the petitioner to comply with the order within the time frame fixed by this Court, this order shall stand, automatically, cancelled.

8. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
