Mr.Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent.
2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the Appeal dated 3.2.2017 expeditiously.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed the appeal as early as on 03.02.2017, the respondent has not disposed of the same yet.
5. Mr.Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law, within a time frame.

6. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to dispose of the appeal petition filed on 03.02.2017 by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
