Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent produced a copy of the appointment order issued to the petitioner in Memo No. B2/PA/LGO/2020, dated 22.03.2024, by the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Chennai. In the said appointment order, it is mentioned that the petitioner was provisionally appointed to the post of Time Scale Postal Assistant with immediate effect.

2. The learned counsel for the respondent further submitted that the petitioner had received the appointment order and joined the office.

3. Recording the above appointment order dated 22.03.2024 and the submissions of the learned counsel for the respondent, the present contempt petition is closed.
