ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondents to desist from harassing the petitioner in connection with the complaint alleged to have been given by one Subramanian, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents and perused the material placed on record.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by one Subramanian, the petition enquiry in C.No.113 of 2015 is pending.

4.In my considered opinion, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioner could be given. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned by the respondent police and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit himself to the respondent for interrogation and enquiry. It is made clear that this order will not shield, if the petitioner is involved in cognizable offence.

5.With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
