ORDER
By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2.This petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent/Commissioner of Police, Tiruppur to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2025 within a stipulated period of time.
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
4.The case of the petitioner is that a large scale recruitment fraud was perpetrated by one Kuvendran, Proprietor of Sri Sivan Coaching Centre, Tiruppur and his associates. He is a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering and was lured into the fraudulent scheme in the year 2020 through false assurances that he would be secured Central Government employment and believing such false representation, he paid a sum of Rs.13,00,000/- through bank transfers and cash payments routed through agents, Jameenprabhu and
others. Later, he was taken to Punjab, where he was compelled to work as a night Watchman by falsely portraying the same as FCI training and the letters and other documents issued were found to be forged and fabricated. It is the further case of the petitioner that when he demanded for refund of the amount, cheques were issued by the accused, which were dishonoured and he was threatened by the accused Associates, viz., Pandi, Prasad Kumar, Selvam and others. Like the petitioner, several other victims were cheated through the same modus operandi. Therefore, the petitioner made a detailed representation dated 23.04.2025, but the respondent gave a vague reply dated 01.05.2025, referring to Crime Nos. 33 of 2023 & 29 of 2025 and without disclosing relevant details. Hence, the petitioner once again made a representation dated 03.11.2025, seeking clarification. Since no action is forthcoming from the respondents, the petitioner was constrained to file the present writ petition.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders.
6. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2025 will be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a reasonable time.
7. In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2025 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 18-02-2026 DN To
