COMMON JUDGMENT (Judgment of the Court was delivered by M.S.RAMESH,J.) The present Writ Appeals relate to regularization of the services of Sweepers in the Chennai City Corporation and Ambattur Municipality. 2.The learned Single Judge had dismissed the Writ Petitions filed by the Chennai Corporation, as well as the Ambattur Municipality and thus had declined to interfere with the computation petitions pending before the III Additional Labour Court. As against the said order, the present appeals have been filed.
3.The learned counsel for the appellants would submit that similar cases relating to regularization of Sweepers are pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal Nos.10441 to 10448 of 2024 and an order of interim stay has also been granted. 4.In view of the said submission of the learned counsel for the appellants, it would not be appropriate for this Court to parallelly adjudicate the present Writ Appeals. However, if liberty is granted to the appellants to work out their remedies, subject to the outcome of the Civil
Appeals pending before the Supreme Court, the ends of justice could be secured.
5.Accordingly, all the Writ Appeals stand dismissed with liberty to the appellants to work out their remedies subject to the final outcome of Civil Appeal Nos.10441 to 10448 of 2024 pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
