ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking to direct the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Special Judge at Vellore to dispose the case in Spl.C.C.No.2/2020 as expeditiously as possible. 2.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the case was registered in the year 2018 but the chargesheet was filed in the year 2020 and the CC Number was assigned as C.C.No. 2 of 2020. In view of the pendency of the case, the petitioner was not able to receive the employment benefits and hence, prays that this Court may issue a direction to complete trial within a reasonable period.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for State submits that this Court may issue direction for completion of the trial on the basis of seniority as expediously as possible.
4. In view of the limited relief sought for, this Court directs the trial Court to expedite the trial in C.C.No.2/2020 as per section 309 of Cr.P.C and complete the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
trial as expediously as possible as per senority. 5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
