ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.12.2025 and to close the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner within a time frame fixed by this court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner while working as Deputy Tahsildar, he was placed under suspension on the grave allegation of demanding illegal gratification. Subsequently, the criminal case was dropped after investigation on 08.11.2021. Even prior to that, the petitioner was placed under suspension and charge memo was issued. Challenging the same, the petitioner filed writ petition before this Court in WP.no.7505 of 2021 and this Court by order dated 29.02.2024 issued a direction to the respondents to reinstate the petitioner into service. However, disciplinary proceedings has not been closed so far. Hence, the petitioner made application dated 02.12.2025 for closure of the disciplinary proceedings in terms of dropping of the criminal case. However, no order has been passed. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, it would

suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.12.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

In view of the limited request sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.12.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.
