(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH,J.) This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to release the petitioner's husband namely D.Pudhu Raja son of Deveraj, aged 51 years, CT.No.2034 now confined in the Central Prison - 1, Puzhal, Chennai - 600 066 under the scheme of G.O.(Ms).No.488 for premature release of life convicts within a reasonable period. 2.Recording the submission of Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents/State, that the Convict Prisoner viz., Pudhu Raja, son of Mr.Devaraj, aged 51 years, Convict No.2034, confined at Central Prison - I, Puzhal, has been released

through orders passed in G.O.(Ms.).No.179, Home (Prison - IV) Department dated 06.03.2024, the prayer sought for has become infructuous. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
