ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.5/2017 pending on his file.

2. The case of the petitioner is that on the basis of the complaint lodged by one Karthikumar, he was arrayed as A3 in the FIR in Crime No.5 of 2017 registered by the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294 (b), 323 and 506(ii) IPC. According to him, he has not committed any offence as alleged in the FIR and in fact, he was not present at the time of occurrence. However, he has been falsely implicated in the case, in order to take vengeance against his family. Since the petitioner is trying a Government job by writing various competitive examinations, in order to prove his innocence, it is just and necessary to expedite the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.5/2017. Therefore, he has come up with the present petition for the above stated relief.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.5 of 2017 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible.

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
