The petitioners herein apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 133, 303(2) and 351(2) of BNS, 2023 and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes ( Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 in Crime No.56 of 2026, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the case pertains to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes ( Prevention of Atrocities) Act and as Section 18(A) of the said Act, availing anticipatory bail is barred. Hence, this petition is not maintainable.

3. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 16.02.2026 sma 2/4
