PRAYER: This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue an order of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 21.01.2015, received by them on 22.01.2015 and rectify the anomalies pointed out in petitioners' representation and fix the pay scale of the petitioners' according to the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

This writ petition has been filed by A.Shanthi and six others seeking limited prayer for disposal of their representation dated 21.1.2015 received by the respondents on 22.1.2015, wherein a request has been made for setting at right the pay anomalies of the petitioners and fix the pay scale of the petitioners according to the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

2. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioners, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.1.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
