O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representations dated 08.03.2013 and 06.06.2013 to issue patta in the name of petitioner in respect of his land in S.Nos. 375/9, 375/10A, 375/10B, 375/10C, 375/12A, 375/15, 375/16A, 375/16B, 375/16C, 375/18, 375/23, 376/18B, 376/20A and 376/23, measuring an extent of Acre 1.22 cents, situated at No.78, Merkaandai Village, 376/18B, Thirukazhukundram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, within a time frame.

2. Mr. P. Murali, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his representations as early as on 08.03.2013 and 06.06.2013 to issue the patta, the 3rd respondent has not passed any order sofar. Further, the learned counsel submitted that the 4th respondent, viz., the Tahsildar, had already recommended to the 3rd respondent on 20.07.2013 for the issuance of patta.

3. Mrs. P. Rajalakshmi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 08.03.2013 and 06.06.2013 and pass orders, in accordance with law.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 08.03.2013 and 06.06.2013 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
