This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to act upon the complaint given by the petitioner on 29.12.2023 and register a First Information Report and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. Heard Mr.M.Velmurugan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for first respondent.

3. In the considered view of this Court, the relief as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. If the complaint given by the petitioner did not evoke any response from the police, it is left open to the petitioner to file a petition u/s.156(3) Cr.P.C. before the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate. Except giving this clarity, no further orders can be passed.
